In today’s world where digital payment has brought a revolution through services such as UPI & Digital wallets, it has made life easier and more convenient & the use of physical currency has been down drastically. But everything with pros has its similarly the new age digital revolution of payments has given the space for cybercrime related to banking to increase hence it is the need of the hour for us to take the necessary precautions to avoid them.

so here are the 10 signs your Bank Account Is Under Attack:

Suspicious account activity: If you notice unauthorized transactions or withdrawals from your bank account, it could be a sign of a cyber attack.

Unusual account behavior: If your account is behaving in an unusual manner, such as slower than usual or displaying error messages, it may be under attack.

Password problems: If you're having trouble logging in to your online banking account, or your password has been changed without your knowledge, it could be a sign of a cyber attack.

Unexpected emails or text messages: If you receive emails or text messages asking for your banking information, it could be a phishing attempt.

Unrecognized devices: If you see unfamiliar devices that have accessed your account, it could be a sign that someone else is accessing your account.

The above-mentioned signs state that your account poses a possible threat to the cybercriminals if you find any of the above-mentioned activities happening with your bank account, be quick and report it to the concerned banking authorities to avoid the damage that could happen in the future or to recover loss that has taken place. if you have been the victim of an UPI fraud Lodge a complaint within 2 hours of fraud by calling the cyber cell helpline number 155260 or filing a complaint at National Cybercrime Reporting Portal. To avoid such scenarios be careful while doing the online transactions don’t click on suspicious links, avoid shopping on un authorized websites don’t share your pin, cvv, card no’s etc with others. Always set-up complex password’s that are not easy to track. Don’t enter your banking details in any unnecessary websites which can lead to a possible data breach & can lead to your data getting leaked. Don’t save your card details, Banking details in devices that others can access easily. Don’t provide access of your account to others. Be aware & save yourself from cybercrimes.
